Nov. 10th, 2024 07:23 am I had a dream where I was walking around a new area trying to find a specific building ... and there happened to be a small amount of people doing wxactly the same. a group of about four were really friendly with each other and went off down another street before i could ask them what they were up to. like were they going to the same place as me or were they breaking off for a moment to take a detour to a little shop and get snacks? were they even part of the people who were intending to reach this place i was trying to get to?
i pulled up google maps on my phone. for some reason it was in street view mode from the last time i used it. it loaded in my current location.
i was standing by a crossing of some train tracks, the train cutting through most of the town so it was a good landmark to make sure i didnt get lost: just find the train tracks and follow them back until you recognise the streets again.
google maps, sitting on street view, had at one point captured a photo of about 20 gorillas sitting on and around the rail crossing.
i suddenly feared for my fucking safety and punctuality.
the reason i was taking this new route through an unfamiliar place was because i was starting a course in that mystery building that would be every day for several weeks.
im sorry im late, there were gorillas on the train crossing again and i had to take the long way round.
